26 STEPS

1. This video will take you through the purchasing process from BUY NOW to a running server ready for syncing & configuration.

The first step is to open the DeskDirector home page (www.deskdirector.com) and click Pricing

Once on the pricing page (https://www.deskdirector.com/pricing/)

Click Buy Now to begin

3. Click Buy Now button of your desired tier. In this walk through, we are going to choose the Gold Standard tier

4. We need some details, name, email etc.
Click Email Address and type in your email address

5. Type in your Given name

6. Type in your Family name

7. Type in your Company name

8. Click Country if you are not in the USA, which is the default

9. Click Subscribe to send us these details

10. The next page is the payment page. This page is served up by Stripe. Stripe handles all of the credit card processing, from credit card collection to payments, so you can be sure of gold standard security
Type in your Credit Card number

11. Type your cards Expiration Date

12. Type in your cards CVC number

13. Type in the Name on card

14. Click on securely save my information for 1-click checkout. We need this option to take recurring payments each month.

15. Type your phone number 021 123 4567. Change the country if required

16. Click Save Card to complete the payment details. If your bank uses 3D-Secure there night be an extra step where they send you a confirmation token (often by SMS)

17. Go to your mail box and find and open the DeskDirector Sign Up email. This might be in your Spam/Junk folder, so be sure to check there if you cannot find it.

18. Click Activate to go the the server configuration wizard

19. The DeskDirector Support Portal will Open and start running the Server Configurtation Wizard

20. Click Create Instance to start the build of your instance of the DeskDirector service

21. If you want to sync data with a PSA tool, like ConnectWise or Autotask, select that here. If you do not have either ConnectWIse or Autotask, then choose Microsoft. We will choose ConnectWise for this walk through example

22. DeskDirector is deployed regionally. You can choose from four regions. 1. USA, 2. Canada, 3. Australia and PAcific, 4, UK and Europe
We will select Australia and the Pacific for this example walk though

23. Choose your base Subdomain this is your company name, or a version of it, that has no gaps or extended characters other than the hyphen '-'. It must be globally unique. We will tell you if your choice is already taken.

24. We've entered 'Waltercorp' which is available. Note that you can add custom domains later. In this case, we could, at a later time, add https://support.walltercorp.com as an extra host name for the service. For now, click Create

25. We are now building your server. This may take a minute or two. When complete, Click Go to server instance Note that you are starting in the free trial period, so the first invoice is zero and no charge has been made on your card

26. That's it. We're done for this video. The next few steps branch depending on what PSA (if any) you selected earlier.
