Autotask Integration - Common Issues

"I've recently updated my Autotask instance and am no longer able to add attachments."

Autotask's 2020.3 release introduced new API user setting that enhance feature they are offering for the integration API. This update also added new settings to restrict API users. If you do not switch to this new release, there will be issues when adding ticket attachments. Here is how you can fix the issue.

  1. Create new security level according to article Creating an integrator API resource in Autotask
  2. Head to Extensions & Integrations (Admin)
  3. Go to Integration Center under Other extensions & tools.
  4. Edit API user under DeskDirector - DeskDirector Portal.
  5. Select newly created Security Level and Save .
  6. This should now have fixed issues with attachments.
