How to Generate an HAR File

Because DeskDirector is web based, all troubleshooting information is available from your preferred browser’s development tool window. In this guide we will cover how to open this and what information you can supply to the DeskDirector Support team.

Recreating the Issue

The below steps are show in Google Chrome but the steps are similar for Firefox and Microsoft Edge.
  1. Log into DeskDirector
  2. Open your browser's development tools with F12 or via the browser menu
  3. Within the developer tools window, open the Network tab
  4. Recreate your issue within DeskDirector
  5. Once you have recreated the issue, export the logs as an HAR file
  6. Attach this file to your support ticket from the DeskDirector support portal
