IT Glue Integration Overview

This page will take you through the steps to set up integration with IT Glue. IT Glue can be used used in two different components of DeskDirector:

  • Client Portal: delivering knowledge base articles to clients via the Learning Center
  • Staff Heads Up Display: access to context-sensitive client documentation via Ticket Session tabs

Configuration

  1. Open your Admin Portal and head to Client Portal > Learning Center
  2. Either select an existing category or create a new category for IT Glue via Add Category
  3. Under the Items tab, select Add Learning
  4. Enter a Name (that will appear for the end user), a Description (to explain what the Item is), a Version, and a Hyperlink to the document.
  5. Optionally, set document to open in a new window when opened from a DeskDirector web client
  6. Create
You will need to make sure that your IT Glue document is publicly accessible.
