Integrating Bigger Brains with DeskDirector - Adding Members

DeskDirector now integrates with the Bigger Brains premium learning solution.

Before you get started you want to import your clients into Bigger Brains the details below tell you how to do this.

The details below should help you;

1. Create a new team in Bigger Brains
2. Export your client's contacts from ConnectWise
3. Import these contacts into Bigger Brains

1. Create a new team in Bigger Brains.

Step 1. Log into the Bigger Brains reseller portal with your BiggerMSP username and password


Step 2. Select Create New from the Teams menu

You should create a new Team for each client

Step 3. Enter the relevant details and hit the Save button

Enter the details of the client here

2. Export your client's contacts from ConnectWise

Step 1. Go to the Contacts tab under the Company screen in ConnectWise

Step 2. Hit export to export the contacts to a CSV and open that in Excel

 

Step 3. Delete all columns except First_Name, Last_Name and Default_Email

Step 4. Rename Default_Email to Email_Address

Step 5. Copy the Email_Address column to a new Column called Username


Step 6. Create another new column called Password

It's up to you what you do here in terms of a password. DeskDirector won't prompt the user for it so if they will only ever access Bigger Brains here it really doesn't matter.

In the example below we created a password by combining bigger with a random 3 digit number.

Step 7. Save the CSV file

Just save the CSV and you are ready to import

3. Import these contacts into Bigger Brains

Step 1. From the Teams page click Add Members

 

Step 2. Select Upload Members

Step 3. Select "Choose File" to select the CSV you created previously and select "Upload Selected File"

Step 4. Bigger Brains will process the file and create the members
